What's the one thing that scares you most about investing in the stock market

Investing is certainly a good thing, but at the moment I am primarily interested in how exactly to pay taxes on my income. Because I was never particularly interested before, but after my father started having serious problems with his pension contributions, as it turned out, his employer did not pay enough taxes, and now he has the lowest pension.
