Interesting. But in FX, isn't it already solved when you choose an ECN broker where they only
make money through commissions and spreads and they can't affect the market in any way.

Yes this is accurate for those who are A-Booking. Unfortunately, A-booking is not so profitable unless you achieve scale, which many brokers do not/cannot and so B-Booking is basically the binary options model where they rake it in each time a trader loses. 70%+ of the industry is B-Book brokers and thats where the conflict of interest is high.
